Back to square one!!! It's just like the picture I took on 8/25/12.  Seen at approx 7:00 p.m.

This was taken on 9/24/12 at 9:17 p.m.  So close to phase 1!!!!!  I'm going to take my last picture tomorrow, exactly one month from the first picture.

This was taken on 9/23/12 at approximately 6:15 p.m.  It is much easier to capture the shape of the moon in a picture when the picture is taken before dark. It's half moon tonight!!!

Working our way back to where we started.  Most of the moon's left side is still shadowed, but it won't be much longer until we are back to square one!  Approx. 9:00 p.m.

This was taken on 9/21/12 at 8:46 p.m.  I didn't have to work, so I caught the moon tonight! We are getting close to the very same phase we started with!

9/20/12

It was in the sky during the day today, so I couldn't see it very well.  I worked close to moon set time, so I missed it altogether.  However, I imagine the moon would look like the above sketch.

Still couldn't see the moon tonight, for whatever reason.  BUT, the crescent is technically back tonight. Also, it's hard to see the moon because it's in the sky during the day right now.

Can't see the moon tonight. It's new moon time!!!

Tonight, you can barely see any of the moon.  I had trouble even finding it. It's almost new moon time.

Pretty much the same...not much change.  You can only see the far left side of the moon.  Approx. 6:00 a.m.

Seen at approx. 6:00 a.m. Most of the right side is shadowed.

The crescent begins!  We have moved past half moon, and the opposite side of the moon is mostly in shadow.  Seen at approx. 6 a.m.

It's half moon!!!  I saw the moon at approx. 2 a.m. (the next day).

This was taken on 9/5/12 at 11:34 p.m.  The right side (if you're looking at the moon) is shadowed.

9/4/12

Didn't take a picture tonight, but I saw the moon at approx. 11:00 p.m.  As you can see from my sketch, most of the moon is visible.  However, the part of the moon in shadow has changed.

This picture was taken on 9/1/12 at 1:35 a.m.  This picture isn't the best quality, but as many times as I snapped it, I couldn't get the glare to subside.  Full moon tonight!

8/28/12

This is a picture I took of the moon on 8/28/12 at 8:56 p.m.  It's hard to see in this cloudy picture, but the moon is very close to being full.  According to my moon rise-moon set sheet, the moon is at 93% tonight.  We are days away from a full moon.  You can tell by looking at the moon tonight.

8/27/12

I went out to look at the moon on 8/27/12 at approximately 10:15 p.m.  Again, with the naked eye, drastic change is hard to detect.  The part of the moon that is visible is large, and the left side of the moon is slightly "missing," or in shadow.  Almost a full moon.

8/26/12

I looked at the moon on 8/26/12 at approximately 9:00 p.m.  It looked much the same as the night before.  You can see nearly all of the moon, with the far left side of the moon in shadow.

8/25/12

This is a picture I took of the moon on 8/25/12 at 8:54 p.m.  You can almost see the entire moon.  Only the far left side (if you are looking at the moon) is "missing," or in shadow.  It was kind of hard to see the moon on this night because it was cloudy.  I did capture it, however, and it was a pretty creepy result.
